Boston's mini superstar Isaiah Thomas has developed from a journeyman guard to an MVP candidate over his time with the Celtics, and his legend is only growing.

In Wednesday night's 117-104 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Thomas led the Celtics in scoring for the 32nd-consecutive game, trailing only Michael Jordan (66) and Kobe Bryant (34) as players to lead their team in single-season scoring since the NBA/ABA merger in 1966-77,.

There are 14 regular-season games remaining, and it's perfectly conceivable to imagine he could take over the No. 2 slot before season's end.

Boston currently holds a full one-game lead over the Washington Wizards for the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference.
