Well this would throw a curve ball into NFL free agency.

Tony Romo's free agency has still yet to kick off, but according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, it could potentially not happen at all... and not because of any action by the Cowboys. Per Schefter, both FOX and CBS are in pursuit of Romo should he decide to retire.
Schefter reported earlier this month that FOX was in pursuit of Romo, but that Romo's goal was to play in the 2017 season.
Retirement has been a long-speculated option for Romo after he was usurped by Dak Prescott, and FOX and CBS would be able to offer relatively good money deals to add the quarterback as an analyst should Romo decide to call it quits from the NFL. Considering all of the damage that Romo has taken to his body over the years, it would easily be the least physically demanding option for him to take, too.
Romo is still the giant domino that is holding up some of NFL free agency, and this would be a helluva way to clear some of that up.
