Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy, now an analyst for the SEC Network, had the hottest of takes about two young, highly touted signal callers - South Carolina's Jake Bentley and Georgia's Jacob Eason.

He clearly likes one better than the other, as he said on the Cube Show with Cole Cubelic

Bentley, a four-star recruit coming out of high school, took over the Gamecocks starting job about halfway through the season, appearing in seven games and throwing for 1,420 yards, nine touchdowns, and four picks.

Eason, a five-star recruit, played in all 13 games and started 12. He passed for 2,430 yards, 16 TDs and 8 INTs.

Bentley, however, averaged 202.9 passing yards per game to  Eason's 186.9.

Time will tell which one turns out best over the long haul.
