Treshon Broughton, a former standout defensive back for the Washington State Cougars, was arrested on Feb. 18 when Broughton allegedly tried to use counterfeit money at a liquor store.

It only got worse for Broughton from there, as he was then arrested and eventually tased by a police officer at the scene.

"Per Sokol, the arrest report stated that Broughton attempted to use a fake $20 bill in order to buy a lighter, which prompted the argument with employees.
Once an officer arrived on the scene, Broughton reportedly resisted attempts to be restrained with handcuffs. The report went on to state a second officer arrived on the scene and ordered Broughton to comply.
After further attempts to restrain him, Broughton allegedly grappled with officers after being taken to the ground, which resulted in the use of a taser after a warning."
This is certainly one of the more bizarre college football stories of the year, but Broughton, eventually, was arraigned and released from jail following the incident.
In Broughton's last season with the Cougars he finished with 17 tackles and one interception.
