ESPN College GameDay host Lee Corso was at an even in Houston for a public speaking engagement and he caught up with Culture Map about his time on the show and the goings on in college football. He was asked about potential conference realignment and pretty much put the Big 12 on notice.

CM: Is conference realignment in college football done?
LS: No, there's still some changes to come. I think the one place that's got to be careful is the Big 12 conference. If the Big 12 doesn't do something, I wouldn't be surprised if Texas and Oklahoma leave 4-5 years from now and go someplace else just like Texas A&M did.

Texas does have its own network so it doesn't really need the revenue from the ESPN television deal in place with the conference. The Sooners are probably popular enough to get their own network as well or find another conference that pays out better —- like the SEC —- and gives them a better chance of making the College Football Playoffs.
