Clemson DB transfer now only considering three options

That's pretty good as far as choices go.

Adrian Baker was not a direct part of Clemson's transcendent run to the 2016 national championship, simply because the veteran cornerback suffered a season-ending injury before things ever got started. However, Baker was certainly a valuable member of the program under Dabo Swinney and, when word broke that he was set to transfer for his final year of eligibility, many team across the country showed interest in his services.

Jake Trotter of ESPN brings word this week, though, that Baker is down to only three options for his decision, as Oklahoma State, UCF and Houston have moved to the front of the line. When we last heard from Baker, he was reportedly setting up four official visits, but only Oklahoma State made the cut from that previous quartet.

Prior to suffering the devastating injury last season, Baker was a part-time starter on the 2015 team that reached the title game before succumbing to Alabama and he is a very talented player. Nothing is assured, of course, but Baker could make a real impact anywhere that he lands and teams like Oklahoma State, Houston and UCF would be very lucky to have an additional depth piece in the secondary, even if only for one final season.
