Ohio State adds another top Power 5 team to 2018 schedule

That certainly makes things interesting.

Ohio State's schedule has been in big-time flux in recent days, with the Buckeyes adding a (very) intriguing home and home series against the Washington Huskies in the future. With that in mind, Urban Meyer and his program were not done shuffling the deck, as Eleven Warriors brings word that Ohio State's previously scheduled home and home with TCU is changing form.

Now, the future battles have morphed into just one game, but the match-up will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington in 2018. In announcing the move, Ohio State's Deputy Athletic Director, Martin Jarmond, had this to say to 11W:

"The Cowboys approached TCU probably a year ago and wanted to move their home game to Jerry World. At the time they approached us and we weren't interested. They came back again and came back again and finally, we entertained it because TCU, mutually we agreed to go there. And they were going to pay us to go there."

"We played Cal, we had so many Buckeyes in the stadium. That's one of the reasons we did TCU in the first place because we had so many Buckeyes there because we want to have a crowd that can help us win the game."

TCU hasn't been quite as dominant in recent years but that is a good program that will be playing fairly close to its backyard in 2018. Ohio State, presumably, would be a favorite to capture victory but that is a tough game and the Buckeyes should be commended for playing it.
