Former NBA lottery pick and USA Mr. Basketball arrested on weapons charges

Unreal.

Former USA Mr. Basketball and 13th overall pick Sebastian Telfair has been arrested on weapons charges according to PIX11 in New York. Below is apparently what he was caught with, which looks like an insane little cache of ammo and weapons.

He was arrested in Brooklyn and NYPD sources say he was illegally parked when the police spotted him taking off without turning his headlights on. Officers found everything in the picture above as well as two bags of marijuana inside the car. Police arrested the 32-year old Telfair and charged him with criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a ballistic vest, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of ammunition. Telfair was also hit with a gun charge in 2007 and the NBA suspended him for three games after his guilty plea.

The Brooklyn native played for several teams after he decided to skip school in 2004 and declare for the NBA Draft. He was Rivals' No. 2 point guard in the class that year and No. 6 overall player and even committed to play for coach Rick Pitino at Louisville, but ended up going pro. He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers and has most recently been playing in China.
