Veteran UFC fighter hints at retirement after the main event of Fight Night 110

He's had a great run.

Veteran UFC fighter Derrick Lewis may have had his last fight in the UFC, and, possibly, ever. After his loss to fellow UFC veteran Mark Hunt in the main event of UFC Fight Night 110, Lewis opened up about what was next in his career.

Lewis revealed that it was "probably" his last fight in the octagon.

Lewis went into detail about the multiple, nagging injuries he's been dealing with lately and the toll that it's taken.

Via MMAFighting:

"This was probably my last fight, you know," Lewis said following up his comments on his nagging injury. "I'm getting married next week, and I don't like putting my family through all of this so this would be my last fight. Most likely it's my last fight in the UFC."

Lewis began his MMA career in 2009, so he's had a pretty long run and a very successful one at that. His loss via TKO was his first loss since June of 2015.

Lewis is 18-5-1 in his MMA career.
