Former consensus All-American found himself in jail after a Sunday morning arrest

This doesn't bode well.

D'Onta Foreman was one of the best running backs in the country in 2016 and that catapulted him into the third round of the NFL Draft. He was named a Consensus All-American as well as the Doak Walker Award winner, given to the best running back in the country. However, it seems he's in some trouble now as the current Houston Texan has been charged with marijuana possession of two ounces or less and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to jail records.

The records say that the University of Texas police department was the arresting agency and he was released around noon on Sunday after being arrested earlier that morning. According to a statement from a UTPD spokesperson, officers "responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from three occupied vehicles" near a residence hall on campus. The statement continues, "Officers arrived on the scene discovered marijuana in each vehicle and also discovered a firearm in one of them."

Foreman was arrested for unlawful carrying of weapons and possession of marijuana while six others were cited for marijuana possession and released.

The 6'1" running back ran for over 2,000 yards last season and 15 touchdowns before being taken in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.
