With the NBA announcing its Hall of Fame class last week, the College Basketball Hall of Fame got its turn to shine for a bit. They named five players and three coaches to its class.

Our first class member: Ronaldo Blackman, Kansas State, Big 8 POY in 1980; 13 seasons in #NBA and four All-Star selections.

Our 2nd class member: Quinn Buckner, Indiana, 3-yr captain at IU, member of '76 undeafeated and natl champ team, 10 yr career with Celtics.

Our 3rd member: Ohio State's John Havlicek, NCAA title in '60, 2-time AA, 16 yrs in NBA w 8 titles and 13 All-Star selections. #OhioState

Our 4th member: Ed Ratleff, Long Beach St, two-time AA under Jerry Tarkanian, holds LBSt record for career scoring avg, three #NCAA Tourneys

Charlie Scott of #UNC is our 5th member; two-time AA, ACC Athlete of Yr in '70, two Final Fours, played for the late Dean Smith.

Joining the players are coaches: Don Donoher, Dayton; C. Felton "Zip" Gayles, Langston; and Lou Henson, H-S, N Mex St, Illinois.

Here's some background information on each of the coaches as well:
Donoher coached for 25 years at #Dayton and took his team to NC game in '67 where he lost to John Wooden and UCLA.

Gayles coached for 35 years at Langston University and won 51 straight games from '44-'46. He led his team to two National Negro Champs.

Henson retired as the all-time winningest coach at #Illinois and #NewMexicoState. Two Final Four appearances--one with NMSt and one with IL.
