The weekend before Michael Jordan turned 52, Jordan Brand began its celebration of it's own milestone with this year being 30th anniversary of the iconic Jordan I shoe with an installation at All-Star Weekend in NYC. The 30th anniversary is the "Pearl" anniversary, and to commemorate that Jordan is releasing its signature player shoes — the CP3 VIII, Melo M11, Super.Fly 3, and AJ XX9 (aka "the Russ") — in pearl colorways.

At the installation, the pearl theme was on display throughout, but the best part of the event was the display they had of extremely rare game-worn memorabilia that hadn't ever left the headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The rare items were on display in cases, and featured shoes, jerseys, and photos from some of Jordan's most iconic moments.
