Former WWE superstar turned Hollywood big-timer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed Sunday afternoon that the People's Champ once considered fighting in the UFC 10 years ago.

Johnson admitted that he seriously considered it, along with getting Greg Jackson to coach him, on his personal Twitter account.
Johnson said, too, that he would have trained for two years before stepping into the octagon, but he doesn't sound like he regrets the move as he "smartened up 'cause I prefer my jaw in tact."
For Johnson's career, it's an interesting "What if" question, as he was considering trying his hand in MMA because he had done everything in WWE and the Hollywood career wasn't taking off. As we all know, the latter eventually took off and he's one of the biggest blockbuster stars in the business — something that isn't expected to change anytime soon.
Still, it would have been interesting to see Johnson fight in the UFC at one point in his career, although we thought the same about CM Punk, and that didn't really work out. Safe to say Johnson made the right call.
