Former top ten recruit reportedly has 'serious questions' about playing for his school

This is a pretty fluid situation.

The Mitchell Robinson is seemingly not over as the former five-star and top ten player in 2017's recruiting class is reportedly going back and forth on whether or not to play for Western Kentucky this season. ESPN's Jeff Goodman is reporting that the situation has not calmed down from earlier in the summer and Robinson's initial decision to stay is not as concrete as people thought.

Should Robinson want to leave school, he has several options to choose from. He could go play overseas to fulfill the NBA's requirement that he's one year removed from high school graduation or he could even transfer before the season and sit a year. And it appears he's not opposed to it.

That option seems a bit risky considering he was supposed to be a one-and-done player for coach Rick Stansbury. If he decides to sit somewhere he risks a free fall in the 2019 NBA Draft rather than taking a chance at being a lottery pick in the 2018 draft.

Robinson committed to Western Kentucky mostly because his godfather Shammond Williams —- the former UNC great —- was a coach for the Hilltoppers. However, he resigned last month from his position and it would seem that decision is giving Robinson second thoughts about where he chose to play his college ball.

The 6'11", 215-pound center was the No. 10 player overall in this year's recruiting class and the No. 3 player at his position according to ESPN.
