Following all of the controversy with Hugh Freeze, Houston Nutt and NCAA investigations, two Ole Miss players — defensive back Ken Webster and linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes — have now been arrested on allegations of shoplifting.
While no punishments have been announced, potential suspensions could leave Ole Miss in even a rougher spot than they are already in. Both Webster and Bing-Dukes are important players on the Ole Miss defense, as both were expected to be starters for the upcoming season. Bing-Dukes started several games last season and recorded 41 total tackles, while Webster started the entire 2015 season and was a starter for 2016 before getting injured in the season opener.
