Fox Sports has made yet another massive move to close the gap between ESPN

This is quite the move.

Fox Sports is doing everything it can to overtake ESPN as the top dog in the world of sports media, and the recent hiring of Jenna Wolfe is proof of that.

According to The Big Lead, FS1 will be hiring Wolfe for its morning show First Things First, joining co-hosts Chris Carter and Nick Wright. The show hasn't launched yet as it's expected to make its debut on September 5th, and Ryan Glasspiegel of TBL is reporting this based on an anonymous source. He claims the source is highly-placed, so take it for what it's worth.

Glasspiegel also explains a bit more on what to expect from First Things First:

First Things First is going to be an interesting experiment for Fox Sports. The show will bring the network one step closer to having wall-to-wall, original debate programming from dawn to dusk — the only spot unoccupied now is when an Undisputed re-run airs in between The Herd and Speak for Yourself. Fox is hoping that Carter, Wright, and Wolfe provide a formidable lead-in to Undisputed, whose launch a year ago helped to bolster numbers for The Herd.

Wolfe is a big addition for FS1 considering the fact that she was previously a correspondent for The Today Show. That's one of the more well-known morning shows out there so it will be interesting to see how she translates to FS1's audience.

Carter is obviously the big name of the group much in thanks to his ability on the football field. He's one of the best wideouts of his era and he's gone on to have a successful career as a football analyst.

Wright is a big name in his own right, at least from a sports personality perspective.

The three coming together to host a morning show will be a fascinating dynamic, and though hot takes are sure to be commonplace — this is FS1, after all — the trio does have the potential to be very informative, as well as entertaining.
