Right now, outside of Ezekiel Elliott and his suspension, the one thing on everybody's mind seems to be Colin Kaepernick and his long, drawn out free agency.
Of course, Miller, who's one of the best overall players in the league, wasn't afraid to give his thoughts on the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Recently speaking with Sports Illustrated, here's what he had to say:
"I think he definitely should be in the National Football League. [There's] not 64 quarterbacks that are better than him," Miller said. "I feel like in the National Football League, that's what it's about. It's about 'can you play?' or 'what can you do for me?'
"[There are] not 64 quarterbacks that are better than Colin Kaepernick," he added. "That's just cut and dry. That's just plain and simple, he should be in the National Football League no matter about anything. He should be in the National Football League. Colin Kaepernick should be in the National Football League. He can definitely play in the National Football League."
Miller's insistence on using the full league of the name aside, this is a clear answer and it is one that is shared by many. Perhaps Kaepernick has fallen off in play a bit since his Super Bowl run with the 49ers — he has — but is he better than just about any backup quarterback in the league? Probably. In fact, he may be better than some of the starters (Here's looking at you, New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars).
But what about Denver? What would Miller feel about Kaepernick if he suited up for the Broncos?
Again, he provided a pretty clear answer.
"Yeah. I guess. He can come and play. He's a good fit with 75-percent of the team in The National Football League," Miller said. "He can throw the ball. He's active in the pocket. He can expand the pocket. He can throw the ball downfield. He has accuracy. He has everything you ask [for] out of a quarterback."
The one answer Miller wasn't clear on was his thoughts on Kaepernick's free agency and its correlation with his protest against the National Anthem.
"I don't know,' Miller said. "That's a question that all the players in the National Football League have been trying to answer. I feel like he should definitely be in the National Football League, though."
