Florida officially names starting QB for Vanderbilt game

Looks Coach Mac is shaking things up.

The Florida Gators have needed a spark on offense this season and might have found it when quarterback Luke Del Rio replaced Feleipe Franks against Kentucky on Saturday. It seems that coach Jim McElwain liked him enough to make him the starter against Vanderbilt this coming weekend.

The offense had seemingly stalled against Kentucky on Saturday, but when Del Rio entered the game, things changed for whatever reason as he finished with 74 passing yards on 14 pass attempts and had the game-winning touchdown to Freddie Swain with less than a minute left in the game. He's also 5-1 as a starter and hopes to take advantage of a very beaten Vanderbilt team that just lost 59-0 to Alabama on Saturday.
