Maryland was supposed to be a much-improved team this season with another year in coach D.J. Durkin's system and some solid quarterback choices in Kasim Hill and Tyrrell Pigrome. Unfortunately, Pigrome was lost in the first game against Texas to a torn ACL. It appears that their luck will remain bad as they lost their new starter in freshman Kasim Hill against UCF on Saturday.

This will be the third year in a row and fourth time in six years that Maryland will start at least three quarterbacks during the season.
Maryland will likely turn to sophomore Max Bortenschlager going forward. Their next game is at Minnesota this Saturday.
