On Friday, three-star tight end Geor'quarius Spivey (6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Monroe, La.) announced that he was heading out of state by committing to Mississippi State.
Spivey also had offers from LSU and TCU among major schools. He is a middle of the range three-star recruit (for comparison, around where Ole Miss' Evan Engram was ranked), but Spivey's size is what makes him an intriguing option for Mississippi State in the future.
Spivy is the latest in what has already become a large class for Mississippi State this year. Dan Mullen's team is already up to 26 commitments for the 2018 class, which currently ranks 15th in the nation over at 247Sports.
