Colin Kaepernick has not left the center of the NFL news cycle in quite some time, but on Sunday the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and current free agent was thrust back into the limelight in a sharp way. In short, Kaepernick is filing a grievance against the NFL that cites collusion between teams to not sign him and, in addition, there is quite a bit of potential fallout that could include the termination of the league's collective bargaining agreement as a nuclear option.

While that reality likely will not impact the opinions of those who are dug in on one side of the debate or another, it has produced even more reaction. In fact, the wife of Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, Shelley Meyer, took to Twitter and chimed in on Kaepernick's decision-making.
She isn't a fan.
The notion that Kaepernick would take a football backseat to Tim Tebow is controversial at best and insane at worst, but this likely speaks more to her opinion of Kaepernick's protest than anything else.
Obviously, Shelley Meyer is not the first (or last) person to weigh in on what Colin Kaepernick has chosen to do and that won't be changing as a legal battle appears to mount. This is, though, a public figure voicing an opinion that isn't unanimously popular and the fallout could be intriguing.
