Aaron Rodgers will likely miss the remainder of the 2017 NFL season and that is devastating for the Green Bay Packers. The All-Pro quarterback and Super Bowl champion suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings and he has since been placed on the injured reserve.

In short, the immediate future of the Packers is inextricably linked to the hit delivered by Minnesota linebacker Anthony Barr.
As a result, much of the NFL world (and especially the Packers fan base) rushed to pass judgment on Barr for what was not deemed to be an illegal hit on the field in the moment. However, Michael David Smith of NBC's Pro Football Talk brings word that it is now official that Barr's hit was deemed legal by the NFL office and, as a result, he will not be fined for his actions on the field against Green Bay.
Most interpretations of league rules deemed that Barr did nothing wrong and this backs up that concept. Some members of the Packers are clearly not going to be pleased, especially in light of the injury diagnosis. Still, it was not as if Barr intentionally injured Rodgers (at least according to what was visible on video) and the league is acting accordingly in this instance.
Nothing was going to bring Packers fans joy in the wake of Rodgers' injury but they now won't get any "justice" either.
