Alabama defender indicted on second-degree felony

That doesn't look.

20-year old Alabama defensive back Deionte Thompson had an arrest warrant issued for him back April that was in relation to a Spring Break brawl that took place in Texas. Now he is facing an indictment for second-degree aggravated assault, causing serious bodily injury, according to the Associated Press via Beaumont Enterprise. However, Thompson's lawyer in Sean Villery Samuel told AL.com that this was what they expected.

We anticipated them coming forward with the indictment because that's the easy thing to do. However, that's far from being able to convict him. We look forward to getting the evidence that they're relying upon. Nothing has changed on our end, but we're anxious to see the information that they're relying upon."

Two other young men have been charged as well for their reported actions in the fight. Thompson has been accused of kicking an 18-year old in the head during the fight. The redshirt sophomore has played in all eight games and made 12 tackles so far this season.
