Starting linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession, wide receiver Jayson Stanley was arrested for DUI. Head coach Kirby Smart said both are still a part of the team and both have been practicing, but he didn't clarify what the status will be for either player for the Rose Bowl against Oklahoma.

Stanley claimed the marijuana was his, but Patrick still failed a drug test days after the arrest. But they can practice, and Smart probably won't announce their status until closer to the game on Jan. 1.
Patrick's absence would not be ideal for the Georgia defense. The Bulldogs are tasked with slowing down Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma offense, and they will need all hands on deck to advance to the championship game.
The Bulldogs have one of the best defenses in the country, and the linebacker corps is as good as any in college football. If Patrick is out, there will be more pressure on Roquan Smith and Lorenzo Carter to stop the Sooners.
