This probably isn't the side of history that the Dallas Cowboys want to be on...

Ezekiel Elliott made his return to the football field after serving his six-game suspension, but his presence wasn't enough for the Cowboys to win, as Dallas lost to Seattle by a 21-12 score. Not only did Dallas lose, but Seattle's win proved to be history: the Seahawks are the first NFL team since 1966 to win a game while having more penalty yards than total yards.

That's right: 142 penalty yards, and 136 total yards of offense. Funnily enough, the last time it happened was also against the Cowboys.

The Cowboys didn't have a great offensive performance, either; only 283 yards of offense for the Cowboys to go along with two missed field goals from Dan Bailey. Of course, Bailey ended up being the Cowboys' only source of points with four made field goals, so it's not like the blame can be placed all on him.
The Cowboys were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss. Meanwhile, Seattle is now competing with the Falcons for the final playoff spot in the NFC.
