Stanford quarterback Keller Chryst has officially announced his transfer from the school as he took to Twitter to make the announcement.

The former four-star recruit out of Palo Alto was ranked as the No. 3 pro-style passer in the 2014 recruiting class and the No. 6 recruit out of California. He will have one more year of eligibility as he is expected to graduate from Stanford in June and should be eligible immediately.
Chryst was the starter by the end of the 2016 season before suffering a torn ACL in the bowl game against North Carolina. However, he still was the starter to begin this season, but was injured against UCLA in week 4, which led to K.J. Costello getting a few starts. Costello ended up supplanting Chryst as he was benched in week 7 despite being healthy.
Chryst finished his career at Stanford with 1,901 passing yards, 19 touchdowns against six interceptions and three rushing touchdowns. It should be noted that Chryst's uncle, Paul Chryst, is the coach at Wisconsin so that could turn out to be a potential destination for the quarterback.
