Adams thanked his former Sooner coaches and retweeted an article from the Orange's official football account in which head coach Dino Babers announced his arrival.
Thanks #soonernation for the love and support! I had a great time at OU and met some great people I will have everlasting relationships with. I want to thank Coach Stoops, Coach Riley and Coach Boulware for the opportunity to be sooner!

Adams, a former four-star prospect, spent the past two seasons at Oklahoma and appeared in 12 games. The sophomore recorded 542 yards and a touchdown on 59 attempts, averaging 9.2 yards per carry in 2017, which included a career-high 164-yard performance and a team-best 99-yard touchdown run against Baylor.
The Durham, North Carolina native ranked third among Oklahoma backs and had reportedly "fallen out of favor" among the Sooners coaches due to "ball security concerns," according to OUInsider.com's James Hale.
Adams also recorded 283 yards on 53 attempts (5.3 ypc) as a freshman in 2016. He ranked as the No. 15 running back, No. 14 player from the state of North Carolina and the No. 336 overall prospect for the 2016 national recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Adams is already enrolled in classes at Syracuse and will need to sit out during the 2018 season per NCAA rules. He will have two remaining seasons of eligibility starting in 2019.
