NFL legend Brett Favre is facing legal trouble, named in lawsuit

He should have just stuck to the shaving commercials.

Brett Favre has not been an active NFL player since 2010 but, by virtue of his incredible playing career and Hall of Fame credentials, the legendary quarterback is still a name that resonates with football fans across the country. With that in mind, Favre's name carries a ton of credibility and influence and that is the backdrop of a reported lawsuit that names him.

The Blast brings word that Favre is named in a lawsuit from Callais Capital Management and, within the documents, he is alleged to have misrepresented a company that CCM invested in. The lawsuit is reportedly for more than $16 million and, in addition to Favre, executives from Sqor Sports, spotlighted as a social network with an athletic focus, are also named as part of the proceedings.

While the full report is worth a read for the purposes of further specifics, Favre and Sqor Sports are alleged to have "materially misrepresented" the level of scope and sophistication of their platform. The company is no longer in existence, according to the report, and because Favre is (easily) the most high-profile person associated with the case, his name will certainly be in the news as a result.

To this point, Favre has not commented directly about the reported lawsuit. Stay tuned.
