Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator John DeFillippo called QB Johnny Manziel a "consummate professional" shortly after he left rehab; but if we believe this report, he sure wasn't acting like a professional in this public setting.
According to Cleveland.com's Mark Kay Cabot, Manziel threw a water bottle at an 18-year-old fan after getting harassed at the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas. Hotel security and police intervened shortly after, and no charges were filed against either party. Manziel's agent told Cabot that the quarterback handled the incident properly. This isn't the first time that Manziel has had issues with fans in the past.
TMZ had a different account of what actually happened. According to TMZ's report, Manziel actually threw a water bottle at his friend after getting into a heated exchange. The quarterback's throw missed the friend, which led to him sarcastically saying "nice throw, Johnny." That sarcastic comment led Manziel to charge his friend, but another member in his group stopped him from fighting.
ESPN's Colin Cowherd tweeted Sunday morning that the public should get ready for a story concerning Manziel. His tweet suggested that it wouldn't be a favorable story and just a minor incident like Manziel's agent made it out to be.
Manziel himself has not addressed this latest incident, yet. But it seems like he always finds a way to be involved in some trouble.
