The Colorado Buffaloes offense got off to a bit of a slow start against Nebraska on Saturday, but Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter wasted no time making electric plays in the second half. Sanders took an early second half snap and scrambled around for several seconds buying time before launching 42 yards to Hunter downfield for an incredible highlight reel play. It wasn't the first time the pair have connected for an impressive play, and if more completions like this one follow they could be a bonafide Heisman contending duo on the same team.

Sanders and Hunter have been the tip of the spear for a Buffaloes offense that has looked very impressive in early season action. They beat TCU in a week one shootout 45-42 and both players turned in superstar performances. Travis Hunter played on both sides of the football, doing something rarely seen in division 1 football. He 129 total snaps against the Horn Frogs, grabbing an interception and catching 11 balls on offense 119 yards.
Shedeur had more pressure on him, being the coaches son and named week one starter. His statline may have been more impressive then Hunter's. Sanders threw for a Colorado record 510 yards. He also went 38 of 47 in the air and threw for 4 touchdowns. Not too bad for a FCS transfer who many saw as the beneficiary of nepotism. The highlight plays speak for themselves, and Shedeur Sanders won't stop making them.
There were a lot of Colorado doubters around the country before the season began, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter went a long way towards shutting them up last Saturday. Even with lesser first half stat lines against Nebraska, incredible plays like this one will be hard for haters to ignore. The pair of Jackson State transfers are explosive and keep on showing it to all of their new FBS brethren.
Colorado also leapt to an early 13-0 lead over Nebraska due to solid play from Sanders and Hunter. Then they exploded for a play we'll be seeing all Saturday long. Even on a day when Nebraska's defense knocked them out of rhythm for stretches Sanders and Hunter are always inches away from making great plays. That drive ended in a punt for the Buffaloes, as Nebraska's defense showed toughness. Sanders and Hunter will need to make even more game breaking plays down the stretch against a good defense to lock up the victory for the Buffaloes.
