Caleb Williams Sounds Off on Notre Dame Fan Who Stormed Field

Following the USC Trojans miserable 48-20 loss on the road to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in which Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams threw three interceptions, the probable No. 1 overall draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was accosted by a fan who ran onto the field, and speaking to the media recently, he addressed the situation.

"I mean, everybody wants to be in these two [size] 12.5 shoes right here," Williams said. "I'm not worried about some kid running out on the field that doesn't have anything really associated to Notre Dame other than possibly their family going there or him going there himself. Got a lot of guys over here that I've got to lead, so some opinion of a sheep, lions don't worry about that stuff. Keep moving on, keep fighting. Fight on."

For context, after the game, a fan ran up to Williams and said, "Let me see those nails now bro," about Williams painting "F*** ND" on them last year.

Here's a clip of the fan running up to him.

As you can see, Williams seemed rather unphased by it.

Williams' mom is a nail stylist and often paints her son's nails, and Williams explained it earlier this month.

"Nobody else does it," Williams said. "I like to do new things. I don't really care what people have to say about it."

Through seven games, Williams is completing 69.8% of his passes for 2,035 yards, 23 touchdowns, and four interceptions. According to Pro Football Focus, he has 13 turnover-worthy plays, though. All 13 have come when he's facing pressure. Under pressure, Williams is completing 46.2% of his passes for 363 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Against Notre Dame, Williams completed 23 of 37 passes (62.2%) for 199 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He also averaged just 5.4 yards per attempt and a 7.2 average depth of target, both the lowest marks of the season.

In Week 8, the No. 18 Trojans host the No. 14 Utah Utes at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 21.
