Utah is hosting Oregon in a massive Pac-12 matchup this Saturday, as they look to score another huge victory without regular starting quarterback Cam Rising.

Rising was declared done for the season earlier in the week which means the job officially falls on Junior Bryson Barnes for the remainder of this season.

Fox Sports was quick to remind viewers of Barnes' background as a pig farmer in Milton, UT. "Grew up raising approximately 12,000 pigs, most in FBS" read the graphic underneath footage of Barnes warming up pregame. The comical chyron was screen grabbed by college football fans nationwide.

We're unsure how Fox Sports fact checked their stats for "most pigs owned by a college player", but we'll take their word. 12,000 pigs is a lot of pigs and there don't seem to be many other hog farmers turned division 1 athletes walking around out there.

The good news for Utes fans is Barnes has been pretty good so far as a starting quarterback in Salt Lake City. He threw for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns in their massive 34-32 victory over USC last week, and is 5-0 overall in five total starts in career at Utah.

Bo Nix might be his polar opposite, having started over 50 games in a lengthy career at 2 schools. The two showdown Saturday in a gigantic game at Rice-Eccles stadium that will have an instant and incisive impact on the both the PAC-12 title and College Football Playoff races. The Ducks and Dan Lanning hope their experience under center will be the difference, but Kyle Wittingham's aggressive defense will have something to say about that.

Barnes might be a little inexperienced, but he's tough. That's for sure. It can't be easy to grow up amidst a hoard of 12,000 pigs and take care of them daily.  Barnes will need to summon all the creativity and toughness he possesses today to score an upset over the eighth-ranked Ducks.
