The Georgia Bulldogs are undefeated this season, have won 25 straight games, hold a 41-1 record in their last 42 games, and have won back-to-back national championships, but were slotted at No. 2 in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings ahead of Week 10 and head coach Kirby Smart had some thoughts on the matter.

Well, sort of.
When asked about it, Smart said, "Nah, not slighted. It is what it is. We've gotten really comfortable with not paying attention to it the last 3-4 years."
In the AP Top 25, Georgia is No. 1, but the selection committee decided on Ohio State over them.

Not only are the Bulldogs No. 1 right now, but they've been No. 1 since October 9, 2022.
However, as On3 points out, Georgia ranks 100th in strength of schedule. Right now, they'd be slated to play Michigan, which is under investigation by the NCAA for quite an expansive sign-stealing campaign, allegedly.
Last season, the Bulldogs were in a similar circumstance. They were No. 3, and Tennessee was No. 1. Then, the Bulldogs played Tennessee and beat them 27-13.
In 2021, the Bulldogs were No. 1 in the College Football Playoff Rankings with the first five releases before finishing No. 3 following the SEC Championship Game. That year, Georgia beat Michigan and Alabama to secure a win.
This season, the Bulldogs are 2-5-1 against the spread, indicating they're not over-performing against their opponents as they've been favored in each game.
Quarterback Carson Beck has played well. He's completing 72.7% of his passes for 2,470 yards (9.4 yards per attempt), 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He does only throw the ball downfield on average 8.3 yards, though.
On defense, the Bulldogs have 122 pressures, 20 sacks, 17 quarterback hits, 85 hurries, nine interceptions, 19 pass breakups, and allowing 62.8% of targets to be caught.
The Bulldogs host the Missouri Tigers in Week 10 before rounding out the season against Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech.
