Most of us can agree that Deion Sanders' coaching style is unorthodox in many ways, but during an appearance on "The Colorado Football Coaches Show," he mentioned one practice that's raising some controversy—fights in practice.

"We've had a great week of practice. We had a couple of fights, which I like," Sanders said. "It's a great thing. I always want to know who won because I keep records. I don't break them up. Some coaches break them up. I don't.
"Some guys fight, hoping for the break up. No, we're going to let you go," Sanders said. "I love it. They've been getting after it. It's almost like a rededication. It's almost like a refocus. I love where we are. We've had great practices this week, offense, defense, and special teams."
The Buffaloes started the season 3-0 but are now 4-5, going 1-5 in their last six games. They were a ranked team, but now they're not, and their previous three opponents include Arizona, Washington State, and Utah—two of them are nationally ranked.
This season has also included a move from offensive coordinator Sean Lewis calling plays to Pat Shurmur, a former NFL head coach and offensive coordinator.
Coach Prime's stance on fighting in practice has been consistent. In August, videos of Sanders in practice surfaced about this exact topic.

"I seen two of y'all walking off over there and you got a teammate fighting!" Sanders said. "Where they do that at?! Where they do that at?! If one fight, we all fight — you understand that? I don't want to see y'all walking off when somebody's fighting! NEVER AGAIN!"
As mentioned, the Buffaloes are 4-5 and have a date on Saturday, November 11, against Arizona at home. They need two wins to become bowl-eligible.
