Travis Kelce is still the best tight end in football, yet his Kansas City Chiefs team is on a downward spiral and doesn't seem likely to repeat as Super Bowl champs this season. That's why one WWE superstar thinks it's the perfect time for Kelce — both Kelce brothers, actually — to take their talents to professional wrestling.

During a recent interview with TMZ, global WWE icon The Miz admitted that he has been trying to recruit Kelce to the WWE for some time.
"I'm always sending DMs to Travis, being like, 'Hey, you're pretty good in the ring. I think you could do pretty well,'" he said.
The Miz went on to explain why 2024 is the perfect time for Kelce to make his WWE debut.
"This year at WrestleMania, we're in Philly, so ... It would make complete sense."
While this explanation didn't make complete sense initially — considering that Travis Kelce is playing in Kansas City, not Philadelphia — The Miz clarified his statement by looping Jason Kelce (Travis' older brother and current Philadelphia Eagles center) into his impromptu professional wrestling plan.
"I mean, Jason Kelce, maybe he retires after this year, and then what better way to go out than with a match at WrestleMania?" The Miz said.
So there we have it: Both Kelce brothers potentially becoming a WWE tag-team duo once WrestleMania 40 comes to Philly in April 2024.
While we don't know whether Jason would be interested becoming a wrestler after his football career comes to a close, Travis has made it known that he wants in at some point.
Back in April, Kelce — who was then two months removed from the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVII victory over his brother's Eagles team — spoke to TMZ about the WWE and said, "My guy George Kittle was at WrestleMania throwing clotheslines left and right, man. It was awesome to see him go nuts, but I got to get involved somehow, someway. Me and the Miz have been talking a little bit about it so hopefully, we can brew something into fruition here."
Although it's unlikely that Travis Kelce is going to retire from football early in order to become a wrestling icon, it certainly seems as if a WWE cameo could be coming for Travis — and perhaps also Jason — in the near future.
Now the question becomes whether Taylor Swift would show up to support her boyfriend's wrestling matches the way she does for his football games.
