The LSU student section stormed the Maravich Center's court Wednesday night following their men's basketball team's 75-74 upset win over Kentucky — and the person front and center of the storming was none other than LSU women's basketball star Angel Reese.

It was all fun and games at first as the Reese-led students swarmed the court and surrounded LSU players. But Reese's excitement quickly turned dangerous, as she was knocked over by an LSU player in the midst of the team's post-upset pandemonium.

Reese suddenly disappeared from view and seemingly got swept up by all the chaos. That isn't likely what her head coach, Kim Mulkey, wanted to see from her star player prior to their team's home game Thursday night against Auburn. That's especially true since LSU will be trying to avenge a loss against Auburn, which defeated the defending national champions 67-62 last month (a defeat that Reese took the blame for).
Yet, much to Mulkey's relief, Reese quickly confirmed she was OK after the court-storming ended. She posted on X, "STORMED THE COURT, GOT KNOCKED DOWN BUT GUESS WHAT??? IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! ???'??'? GEAUX TIGERSSSS"

Reese has a right to be excited about the men's team's upset victory. In fact, the Tigers' victory on Wednesday night was also historic.
Not only did LSU defeat the 17th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats by one point, it also defeated the 11th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks men's team by one point on Saturday. Therefore, according to ESPN Stats & Info, the Tigers are first team in Southeastern Conference history to win two consecutive games against AP-ranked teams by exactly a point each.
It has been an impressive achievement for the LSU men's team, especially considering that they overcame 15-point deficits in both wins. They are now 14-12 on the season and are trying to secure a good position in the SEC Tournament.
As for Reese, only time will tell whether being knocked over and nearly trampled will affect her performance Thursday evening. Yet, considering that Reese is accustomed to jockeying for position in the paint all game — and her 19.2 points and 12.5 rebounds per game would suggest she's pretty good at it — we imagine she'll be feeling all right come game time.
