Chiefs Heiress Headed To SMU On Cheerleading Scholarship

The youngest daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt may have a future as a Chiefs cheerleader. After all, Ava Clark is headed to SMU on a cheer scholarship.

It's true, as Ava just recently graduated and publicized her next step on Instagram.

"SMU bound," read one of the hashtags under her post.

SMU just happens to be the alma mater of her father. Ava was an All-American in cheer, but that wasn't her only sport, as relayed by the New York Post.

"Along with her role as a cheer captain, Ava also played soccer and ran track during her time at the Covenant School — a Christian private school — in Dallas," the Post wrote. "The teen also shared a snap alongside her parents and sister Gracie Hunt. However, her older brother, Knobel Hunt, seemingly skipped the ceremony."

Knobel, 21, plays soccer at SMU. So hey, the rich get richer, as the man who owns the Chiefs doesn't have to play for college.

As for Ava, she has indeed poised for pics with the Chiefs cheerleading squad, saying that she may "one day" join them. And why not? She clearly has the promise.

But for now, it's off to SMU, and that is undoubtedly a family tradition.

Ava's grandparents, Norma and Lamar Hunt, the Chiefs' founder, 'were committed to investing in the future of athletics at SMU, having generously given toward the construction of the Gerald J. Ford Stadium; the Paul B. Loyd, Jr. All-Sports Center; and the Lamar Hunt Memorial, in addition to other funds and needs'" the school noted, via the Kansas City Star. "Lamar, Clark — who graduated first in his class in 1987 — and Gracie are SMU alumni."
