During the Philadelphia Philles 8-6 loss to the Boston Red Sox, Nick Castellanos was called for a pitch clock violation, which he was not happy about, to say the least.

During the seventh inning, the home plate umpire gave Castellanos an automatic strike before his at-bat, as a result of the Phillies outfielder apparently not being ready inside the batter's box in a timely manner.
After hearing the call, that is when Castellanos got up in the umpire's grill and let him have a piece of his mind.
"Out of respect for somebody who's been in the league over 10 years, you gotta f-king speak up brother," Castellanos told the umpire, who luckily didn't toss him.

Seemingly, Castellanos was taking too long getting ready at the plate, which he felt should have been preceded by a warning before receiving the violation. According to MLB rules, "Batters must be in the box and alert to the pitcher by the 8-second mark or else be charged with an automatic strike."
After all the commotion and arguing, it didn't matter as the 0-1 count turned into a 3-2 count, before Castellanos was ultimately walked. In view of this, he did go on to score his second run of the game, and had himself a decent night, going 2-for-4 with a double and triple.
With that being said, the 12th-year veteran player is trying to turn his season around, as Castellanos now currently has a career-low batting average (.216). In 67 games this season, the 32-year-old has contributed nine home runs, 29 RBI's and 36 runs.
With the loss, the Phillies still remain atop the NL East division, as they have the best record in the National League (46-21).
