Former NBA player Darius Morris died from heart disease brought on by drug and alcohol abuse, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

The official cause of death was coronary artery disease, per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Morris, 33, died on May 4. His death is being ruled an accident.
He spent time as a point guard with the LA Lakers from 2011-13, and with the crosstown Clippers the next season. This after starring at the University of Michigan.
"He was a second-round pick of the Lakers in the 2011 draft," per ABC 11. "He averaged 3.3 points in 132 career games (17 starts) with the Lakers and four other teams in four NBA seasons. He went on to play professionally in China and France, last playing in 2019-20."
TMZ reported Morris was last seen several weeks before his body was discovered.
He also spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets before playing overseas.
