Celtics Fans Get Too Wild After Championship Victory, Leading To City-Wide Purge

The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in Game 5 to win the series 4-1, and secure their 18th title in franchise history.

After winning the NBA Finals, the Celtics fans went nuts and caused a great deal of commotion in the city streets.

To also point out, in case you couldn't already tell, most of the fans were drunk, as they thought a random guy wearing a Jaylen Brown jersey was actually the 2024 NBA Finals MVP award winner.

Even during the game, fans in TD Garden Arena were getting into it with Mavs superstar player Luka Doncic (28 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists). Evidently, the 25-year-old Slovenian did not like what the crowd was saying to him, so he fired back by insulting one of the Boston kids' mom.

Luka wasn't the only player who was at the forefront of the heckling, as former Boston Celtics player Kyrie Irving was also booed all series long, in addition to fans chanting "F*** Kyrie" during the celebrations.

The out of control fans were seen burning jerseys and also throwing around a blow up doll of the Mavericks guard.

They certainly lived up to their reputation as a ruthless fanbase, as it got to the point where Boston fans were actually seen pushing around Dallas fans.

Not all of the fans of the 2024 champions are mean, but as a whole they don't have the best track record of being friendly. Seemingly, they don't know what good sportsmanship means, but at the end of the day Boston has a reason to brag, as they have the winningest franchise in the history of the NBA.
