Vikings WR Jordan Addison Was Arrested With Suspicion Of DUI After Being Found Sleeping In His Car On The Highway

Jordan Addison, wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, was arrested Friday near Los Angeles International Airport, after the highway patrol pulled him over on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

That is to say, the details of the police report were reviewed by ESPN, and revealed that the NFL player was driving a white Rolls Royce, which had been blocking the entire lane of "I-105 westbound to Sepulveda Boulevard northbound." Apparently, the reason for this was a result of Addison being asleep behind the wheel, which subsequently led to a DUI arrest Friday night.

In regards to how intoxicated the 22-year-old was at the time of the incident, it has not been revealed yet. To point out, this is not the first run-in that Addison has had with the cops while operating a motor vehicle; last July, he was clocked going 140 miles per hour on a freeway in Minnesota, pleading guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge.

Considering now he is facing an alleged DUI, Addison joins his offensive coordinator Wes Phillips, who last December at the end of the 2023 NFL season, was found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.10. This led to Phillips pleading guilty to a misdemeanor careless driving charge and being suspended for three weeks without pay.

The Vikings released a statement regarding what had happened with their second-year wideout, "We are aware of  Jordan Addison's arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident."

With this in mind, the consequences for Addison's actions are yet to be seen, but the team undoubtedly will not want him to miss any time as he is the team's No. 2 option behind superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

However, all in all, this not a good look, as just one week ago Vikings rookie fourth-round pick cornerback Khyree Jackson tragically passed away following a car accident in Maryland at only 24 years old.

Notably, despite some of his problems on the road, Addison found success on the field during his rookie season. The 23rd pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, out of USC, played in all 17 games last year for the Vikings, ending the season with 70 catches for 911 receiving yards along with 10 touchdowns.
