Kyle Ulbrich may not be a household name yet, but some might know him as the Middle Tennessee State punter (2018-2022), and now he is being known for going to extreme measures to make an NFL roster. That is to say, the 25 year-old is camped outside of the Miami Dolphins facility as we speak, per TMZ.

The punter is looking to get noticed for a tryout, so his fiancée even made him signs to hold up outside of the Dolphins headquarters. To point out, one of the signs read, "Sanders [Dolphins starting kicker] I can hold your balls better," as Ulbrich was also a place kick holder in college.

While some may view this as crazy or a waste of time, others respect the hustle. This being said, it was actually Ulbrich's friends that gave him the idea to do something that would make him standout.
"I've played at Hard Rock [Dolphins home stadium] before," Ulbrich said. "I've played in big atmospheres before, and the boys were like, 'If you're about it, you might as well. You have nothing left to lose.'"

In regards to how long he plans to stay out in the south Florida heat, the Mentor, Ohio native said until training camp is over, or whenever he gets an official yes or no from the organization.
With this in mind, Ulbrich did already kind of get noticed, but not in the way he wanted, as one of the workers told him that he had to move from his spot almost immediately after arriving.
"I didn't get the name of the guy who told me to move," Kyle said. "He took a picture and told me he would get security if I was at that point again. I get that, I was close, that was my bad. I didn't know where I could and couldn't be."
He now has since moved across the street, hoping somehow that one of the players or coaches catches a glimpse of him.
All in all, the real problem the punter is facing is just trying to get through the nights living in his car.
"[My car] has a feature on it where if you have it running and are in park for 30 minutes, it turns off," Kyle told TMZ. "I didn't think it'd be a real pain, except for the fact I woke up dripping last night. I had to have sweated a gallon."
When looking at Ulbrich's collegiate career, during his senior year he put up impressive numbers, punting the ball 67 times for an average of 47.1 yards with his longest punt ever being recorded at 75 yards. Notably, he was named First Team All-C-USA in 2022.
"If you guys just give me an opportunity, Worst thing that happens is I don't perform the way I think I can perform," Ulbrich said in a statement meant for the NFL team. "I'm already here, I'm already outside your gates. I would be very appreciative and grateful for an opportunity."
