Browns Rookie Michael Hall Jr.'s Fiancée Recants Domestic Violence Claims That The NFL Player Held A Gun To Her Head

Browns rookie Michael Hall Jr. has been facing serious allegations, after his fiancée had reportedly accused him of domestic violence earlier this month. That being said, she has now recanted her claims, while telling a prosecutor that she was "mistaken" when previously accusing Hall of threatening her with a gun during a heated altercation at an Avon, Ohio residence.

Hall was arrested regarding this incident on August 13, where according to the original statement from his fiancée/mother of his child, he had pressed a firearm against her temple, saying "I will f***ing end it all. I don't care."

Per the New York Post, the dispute was over an argument revolving around finances for a child Hall's fiancée had from a previous relationship.

All in all, the 21-year-old football player pleaded not guilty, but in view of the situation, the police report noted "several indicators of a physical altercation." Furthermore, there were two guns found on the mattress in the bedroom.

Notably, this is not the first time there has been a domestic fight between the couple, as there was a previous incident, where she allegedly struck Hall with a glass bottle over the top of his head. And much like this case, the charges were later dropped when Hall did not agree to testify against his baby's mother.

Considering Hall, a northeast Ohio native who played at Ohio State, was just drafted by the Browns in the second round (54th overall pick) at this year's NFL Draft, the consequences of a possible suspension are not known at this time. To point out, Hall was already back at practice one day after being arrested, as he posted a $10,000 bond to be released from jail.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski declined to talk about it during last week's practices.

"Respectfully, I don't have much to add," he told reporters. "I'm going to let legal proceedings play out."

Ultimately, this matter will be reviewed under the NFL's personal conduct policy, with more updates to follow.
