With less than two weeks before the start of the NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys' roster will indeed feature 25-year-old receiver CeeDee Lamb. After an offseason holdout amid contract dispute negotiations, the two parties have agreed on a deal.
That is to say, the wait is over for Cowboys fans, on Monday afternoon it was reported that the three-time Pro Bowler inked a four-year extension worth up to $136 million.

Lamb has been viewed as the team's franchise player ever since he was selected by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 Draft. Throughout his four-year career so far, Lamb has played every game and has showcased his talent as one of the best to play his position.
In view of last year's 2023 stats, Lamb was ranked first in receptions (135), second in yards (1,749), and third in touchdowns (12).
To note, this now makes Lamb the second highest non-QB position player behind Minnesota Vikings counterpart Justin Jefferson, who signed a four-year/$140 million deal earlier this offseason.
All in all, Lamb might have some catching up to do, since he missed all of the training camp practices while holding out for his new contract.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has expressed his disappointment to the media this summer, regarding Lamb forcing the team to pay him by threatening not to play, even though he was still under contract.
"One of the things that I'd like for the fans to really understand is that nine times out of 10, these are existing [contracts] that you have in place," Jones said. "And you should be able to operate under those but we've gotten it now in the NFL, other teams are dealing with it too, where with time left on the contract you still might have a contract discussion."
Ultimately, now that a deal has been agreed upon, the money talks can be put to the side, as the team will now put their focus to the on-the-field play that will officially start September 8 at 4:25 pm ET., when the Cowboys host the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 matchup.
"Winning — I'm looking forward to winning and being out there with my guys, and making another run at this thing," Lamb said after the news was announced. "Yeah, I'll be in Dallas!"
