Josh Allen voices support for 'amazing human' Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion during a Thursday night loss to the Buffalo Bills. Fellow quarterback Josh Allen responded by sending a message to "an amazing human."

Allen provided comments about Tagovailoa after the 31-10 win in which running back James Cook scored three touchdowns. He explained that the NFL "is a better sport" when the Dolphins quarterback is able to play.

"Understanding what's happened in the past, just know I'm praying for him and his family," Allen told NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. "He's a great football player, but I've been around him outside the football field and (he's) even an amazing human.

"An even more amazing human, so again, prayers are going out to him and his family and hopefully everything is alright."

This concussion was the third of Tagovailoa's NFL career. He sustained two others during the 2022 season which led to him missing four games.

The incident occurred during the third quarter of the AFC East matchup. The Dolphins faced a fourth-down situation with four yards to gain. Tagovailoa took the snap and rushed up the middle to get the first down on the Bills' side of the field.

Tagovailoa began to dive forward as Bills defender Damar Hamlin went to make the tackle. The Dolphins quarterback's head collided with the Bills safety's chest. Tagovailoa had to leave the game and then the Dolphins ruled him out shortly after.

Allen was not the only member of the Bills voicing support for Tagovailoa after Thursday night's game. Defensive lineman Dion Dawkins also said that the entire locker room would continue praying for the rival QB and his family.

"Like we're enemies, but we're family," Dawkins said after the game, per Mike Catalana. "We're all football players and we're in this brotherhood together and we all tip our hats to Tua and we will all get on a knee and pray for Tua and his family."
