Shedeur Sanders Had Some Words for CSU’s QB After a Crushing Victory

Shedeur Sanders kept all the receipts from his in-state rival Colorado State Rams.

Shedeur rejects handshake from Colorado State QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi

The Colorado Buffaloes traveled to Fort Collins on Saturday and handed CSU a devastating 28-9 loss. During the postgame exchange between the two teams, Sanders was spotted shaking hands with some opposing coaches before he was approached by Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi. Video shows that CSU's QB looked to extend the same courtesy but Sanders refused, pulling his hand away and jawing at Fowler-Nicolosi.

"You were talking s-t on Instagram," Sanders could be heard saying in the video. "Talking on Instagram. We handled our business. You can't f-k with me."

Fowler-Nicolosi told Sanders to "keep talking" as he walked away.

Fowler-Nicolosi called the Buffaloes out after last year's close contest

Earlier in the week, Fowler-Nicolosi took some shots at Colorado's media hype while discussing last year's game between the teams. The Buffaloes narrowly escaped double overtime with a 43-35 victory after entering the matchup as a 27.5 point favorite against the Rams.

"They came out with that attitude and thought it was going to be a cakewalk," he stated. "They saw the reports that it was 27.5 points. They got a rude, rude awakening real quick. I think it goes to show the hype, the media train, all that only gets you so far.

"At the end of the day, you have to line up 11 guys against our 11 guys and we'll find out who wants it more. We'll see how far Instagram followers gets them."

NFL Hall of Fame Deion Sanders didn't appreciate CSU's comments ahead of the game

The video from Saturday's postgame action also showed Shedeur shaking hands with other players and coaches, making it clear his beef was solely with the opposing QB. He hasn't made any official statements on the comments from earlier in the week, but his father and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders made his stance known.

During his postgame news conference Colorado's head coach commented on the "disrespect" from players on CSU's roster, saying that they made it a "personal game."

"They kind of make it like that," Sanders began. "We just want to play some football. The disrespect was uncalled for throughout the week. A couple of their players took shots at the whole program and a few of our players so it is what it is. So, we knew coming into the game that it'd be a bit personal, and it was."
