"Damar Hamlin's return to play may be the best football story this decade. He was dead on the field. Now he is the starting safety for the

[Buffalo Bills] and just caught his first career 1 interception. YOU LOVE TO SEE IT," former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III said.

"Damar Hamlin getting his first career interception on Monday Night Football is a pretty remarkable story, regardless of who you root for. To be where he was and to get to where he is now is remarkable," another user added.

"There will come a time when there isn't universal celebration for every good thing Damar Hamlin does on a football field. But that ain't today. Watching him get that pick on MNF was pretty damn cool," another user said.

Bills Safety Collapsed on The Field in 2023

Hamlin's story is pretty remarkable. In 2023, the Bills played the Cincinnati Bengals in one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. During the matchup, Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins caught a pass in the open field. When Hamlin tried to tackle him, Higgins' shoulder made contact with Hamlin's chest causing the Bills' safety to collapse on the field.

Hamlin was essentially dead on the field. During the broadcast in primetime, his body was motionless on the ground. Several paramedics and other medical professionals rushed to the field to administer CPR to Hamlin.
