Video Resurfaces Of Jayden Daniels’ Former Teammates Talking Down On Him Upon The Quarterback Transferring From Arizona State

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is preparing to go up against the Arizona Cardinals this upcoming week, as he will head back to Arizona, where he spent three seasons playing for the ASU Sun devils.

In view of this, many have been reminded of Daniels' exit from the school.

A viral video resurfaced of the quarterback's former teammates talking bad about him, while taking stuff from his locker upon Daniels announcing the news that he would be transferring to LSU ahead of the 2022 college football season.

The guy behind the camera was heard saying, "Clean that s*** out, ***** sucks anyways."

From 2019-2021, Daniels passed for 6,024 yards (32 touchdowns/13 interceptions) and rushed for 13 touchdowns as the signal caller of the Arizona State offense.

Daniels responded to this video after arriving in Baton Rouge, and he took the high road.

"I came here [LSU] for my future and my career," Daniels told 247 Sports at the time. "It's a fresh start. What happened at Arizona State happened with that video. I still have a lot of love for those guys over there and still talk to them at the end of the day because it's beyond football for me. I hope they do well this season. I will never pray on their downfall. I love coach Herm (Edwards) and love Marvin Lewis and those guys there. But they understood what I want to accomplish in my life, because it's my football career and moving on to the next step and moving forward."

On the other hand, Daniels' mom had a lot to say about this whole incident, while taking shots at the ASU players.

"You see the best quarterbacks, Tom Brady is not good without chemistry with his receivers. He's going to put the ball there, but if they are running the wrong routes and if they are doing stuff, what is he supposed to do? You know? And the line, he don't want to run. He's been a Pac-12 line that just collapsed, you know, they are good kids. Great kids and we love them all, but he's not going to sit there and take 60 sacks, guys."

To mention, Daniels then went on to play two seasons for the LSU Tigers and won the 2023 Heisman.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 Draft has had a great start to his young NFL career, as he has completed 61-of-76 passes, 80.3% completion rate through first three games. While also throwing for 664 yards and two touchdowns (0 interceptions).

In addition the dual-threat quarterback has also rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns. This stellar performance has lead the Commanders to sit atop the highly competitive NFC East division.

On Monday Night Football, Daniels set a rookie record, completing 91.3% of his passes. Even more impressively, this was the second game out of his first three NFL starts that entailed the offense not punting or committing a turnover.

Daniels' performance drew recognition from former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III.

Week 4 will be a homecoming for the rookie QB, as the Commanders will practice at Arizona State this week leading up to their game against the Arizona Cardinals, which will take place in State Farm Stadium on Sunday, September 29 at 4:05 pm ET.
