Browns DE Myles Garrett Has Multiple Injuries, But Wants To Play Through Them, Coach Says

It's not been a banner start to the NFL season for star defensive end Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns. The entire team looks like wounded ducks in starting 1-2. Garrett actually is wounded.

But that may not keep Garrett from continuing to play, coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters.

For the record, Garrett has injuries to both feet, his Achilles and thigh. Other than all that, he may be somewhat healthy. So as far as Garrett is concerned, it's reason to keep trying, it seems.

"I feel like Myles is determined to continue to play," Stefanski said, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "He's working through injuries like a lot of guys and he's played through injuries in his past."

Well, OK then. The Browns were expected to compete for a return to the playoffs. Right now, though, they can't seem to put anything together. In last week's loss to the lowly New York Giants, the Browns' defense had opposing quarterback Daniel Jones looking a lot like Tom Brady in his prime. And Cleveland's defense doesn't have nearly the issues of the offense.

But hey, at least the special teams seem all right.

Anyway, back to their MVP.

"Garrett is the NFL's reigning defensive player of the year and has played well this season despite the injuries," Smith wrote. "Stefanski said the Browns will be smart about not allowing Garrett to do anything that aggravates his injuries, but for now it looks like Garrett will keep playing."

The Browns pay a visit to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
