Dallas Cowboys' Jake Ferguson Hits One-Year Mark with Haley Cavinder

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has accomplished much on the field in his young career. He also recently accomplished something off the field: one year of dating his girlfriend Haley Cavinder.

Ahead of the Cowboys NFC East showdown with the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football, Cavinder shared a collection of photos on Instagram captioned, "a year of ferg." Cavinder, of course, is most known for playing basketball at the University of Miami as well as being a social media influencer.

The two were first rumored to be dating back last September after she appeared on a social media post wearing his No. 87 jersey. From that point on, the two have been inseparable. How much so? Ferguson got her name tattooed on his finger.

It hasn't all been easy during their first year together, however. Cavinder previously shared how difficult it was when the couple first made it official and the ensuing trolls that followed across her social media platforms. It reached the point where she had a mental breakdown, scrolling through comments.

During a Youtube Q&A, she recalled her experience while shopping at Forever 21 with her family.

"I'm a confident girl, but when people are saying stuff about you — if you have a boyfriend and someone is talking about you online with your boyfriend... like coming at your features — I'm like, this is new and obviously Jake is a great guy, but you don't want to be called ugly on the internet 24/7, and your boyfriend sees it," Cavinder shared. "That's not going to make anyone feel cool."

All that is behind them now, though. The couple is doing great, according to all signs, and Jake Ferguson continues to find success in his third season. The Wisconsin product had a career-high 71 catches and five touchdowns in his sophomore campaign.

Meanwhile, Cavinder is set to begin her second stint as a Hurricane. She played at TCU the past season before deciding against her prior commitment to return to Miami and play her final season with her sister, Hanna.
